Only 150km away, Bandung is always a popular getaway destination from the hustle bustle of Jakarta. With it’s geography and cooler climate, Bandung has this quaint atmosphere, quite different from nearby Jakarta. Last weekend me & my friend finally had a chance to visit Bandung again after a very long time and we decided to stay at the newly renovated Sheraton Bandung.

Where should I start, truthfully, I don’t know where to begin to describe the experience we recently had at the Sheraton Bandung. What can you really say when you think the only downside of staying there is that it makes you want to hole up, enjoy all of its amenities, and not leave to actually explore the city? The staff, facility & hospitality are top notch, it’s like they think ahead what might be comfortable before you even have to ask (Although, they didn’t appear at the door at 3am with a pizza and marshmallows, but I suppose one can’t ask too much :p)[/ezcol_3fifth][ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end][ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end][ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end][ezcol_1half]

Towers Room

I had a chance to peek into a couple of rooms (from the deluxe to presidential suite), so there is a combination from multiple rooms in these photos. Our Towers Room as airy as the breeze outside with balcony facing the east, excellent to catch the sunrise. I loved the serene feeling here. The mountain as a backdrop make it feel as though I was at some sort of retreat in the wilderness. Although luxurious and modern by design, the lush natural ground have been preserved. You’ll find an array of facilities such as sauna, 24h fitness centre, pool, nature trails and a playground which is located at the tower garden. Every weekend kids can enjoy the slides, swings and mini soccer besides horse-back riding at the tower garden while the parents can sit back and relax at the gazebo. Towers Garden also provide the perfect atmosphere to host Valentine’s dinners, wedding receptions or even a low impact teambuilding activities. Towers Lounge

Since we stayed at the Towers Room, we automatically got access to Towers Lounge. Feast Restaurant

We were very pleased and happy with the generous buffet at the Feast Restaurant. It is more than just a regular hotel restaurant, it’s a destination restaurant that you will want to visit whether you are staying at the hotel or not. The restaurant caters a wide variety of food from appetizers to a various range of desserts. The only problem I had was so many yummy food to eat but too little space in my stomach.[/ezcol_3fifth]

Location wise, Sheraton Bandung is hard to beat. Located in Dago, the heart of Bandung tourist spots. There are shopping centres, restaurants, and nature destinations nearby such as Taman Hutan Raya where you can enjoy the natural beautiful scenery of pine forest right in front of your eyes while sipping a cup of coffee from Armor Coffee, a coffee shop located inside the area. These hotel treats spoil me rotten, but all good things must come to an end. At least I’m left with beautiful place to share with you all and good ending can lead to an even better new adventure![/ezcol_1half_end]
