Located on the rooftop of Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa along the popular Seminyak beach, Moonlite Kitchen & Bar has it all – location, atmosphere and an extensive selection of foods & beverages. Looks like a small hip beach house on the outside. Inside is quite spacious and airy with amazing ocean views and a variety of different areas for seating. From the moment you step into the transparent glass lift to reach the 5th floor rooftop of the Anantara Hotel you are treated like a VIP. You are met by the wonderful lady who checks your name and takes you up and then you end up with a very attentive waiter and get escorted to your table. 

 Everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious, starting with the Smoked & Grilled Chicken Wings, the Boneless Beef Short Rib and the desserts. I had the ‘White Chocolate & Calamansi Souffle’ and it was seriously yummy. I love souffle, and this souffle was scrumptious. And my friend had the passion fruit cheesecake which was refreshingly light and creamy. The sour taste from the passion fruit sauce beautifully stops it from getting too sweet. Ahh I am literally drooling from the thought of reliving this dessert in my memory. 

 It was a very hot evening with the sun directly in our faces when we were arrived at the restaurant. However as the sun moved a little closer to the horizon the heat became tolerable. So I suggest you come a little later in the evening, say 5.15PM, so it’s not too hot and you can still catch the sunset. But don’t forget to make the reservation before you go as it’s such a popular restaurant with tourists and locals.

 Sitting high above the beach and having an awesome meal while watching the sun waving goodnight into the ocean and live music playing in the background, what more can you ask for?
