I adore Singapore, it’s so modern but still has all these different cultural flavours around the city, and it’s only about one and a half hour flight from Jakarta. That’s why Singapore is my top travel destination for a short weekend getaway. There are a diversity of accommodation options around Singapore but if you are looking for an international brand, you can’t go wrong with the Grand Hyatt Singapore.
Situated right smack in the middle of Singapore’s most well-known shopping belt, the location alone is a plus point when it comes to this property. Orchard MRT station is the next door along with shopping malls such as ION Orchard and Tangs Orchard, so all your needs from clothing, money changers, to dining can be attained at an overwhelming conveniece.
I stayed in a Club Deluxe King room. The 42sqm room have warm and cozy hues. There was a seperated living room area that had a couch, chair, desk, 42 inch flatscreen tv that contains a variety of cable and local channels, Blu-Ray player and big window overlooking the city, which makes it a perfect place to chill or gather with your loved ones. The bedroom had a plush soft goose down king sized bed, another flat screen tv and lounge chair. A bedside table is located on both sides of the bed along with the reading light and complimentary drinking water is provided (and replenished at turndown).
It led to a walk in closet and spacious marble bathroom with plush robes and deluxe amenities provided by the luxurious June Jacobs Spa collection. I really like the light and refreshing scent that the Green Tea and Cucumber series has. Since I stayed during the Christmas season, the staff at Grand Hyatt Singapore threw in some cute chocolate and candies to sweeten my stay. Oh it’s so lovely! There is also a large workstation for you to get work done over some fast internet connection. As bloggers we are always working so it was great to be able to access and download without a single hassle.
Guests staying in Grand Club Rooms can enjoy a host of additional benefits and privileges including access to their Grand Club Lounge, which serves complimentary continental breakfast, evening cocktails and all day beverages. The Grand Club feels exclusive enough to make you feel special as a club level or suite guest but yet the level of hospitality transcends through the exclusive nature of the place.
The Grand Hyatt Singapore has plenty of facilities and amenities to keep guests entertained – much more than I had imagined. They have a gym, pool, tennis courts, spa, in-house restaurants, lounge, business centre. You name it.
I love the zen vibes of this hotel. Lots of green plants along the walkways and the dramatic waterfall you’ll pass by to get to the restaurants or the pool is something you’ll never forget. The large outdoor pool area is also quite the impressive sight. Surrounded by plenty of sun chairs and private cabanas.
My overall stay was wonderful. I cannot fault anything about this hotel. The service was fantastic, and everything was convenient and efficient. Just the right balance of business and elegance. The Grand Hyatt Singapore is a true oasis in the city. I can’t hardly wait to come back!
