Hotel 1929 – A Gem in an Enchanting Neighborhood

HOTEL 1929

I was so excited when I first set foot on Keong Saik road because I have never explored this area of Singapore before. A whole neighborhood full of trendy hotels, quaint bars, cafes as well as old-school eateries, but I instantly fell in love with this gem called Hotel 1929, part of Unlisted Collection group. It had a unique feel. The personality of a boutique hotel with character, history, contemporary modern ambiance and a mix of classic designer and retro vintage furniture.

The first thing I notice upon entering the hotel is the beautifully designed quirky lobby. The lobby set up is both cozy as modern, with unique cool chairs and stuffs all over the lobby! Hotel 1929 also provide a snack like an iced gem biscuits (how I missed my childhood memories) and free flow mineral water and soft drinks in their mini bar. What a thoughtful touch!

Hotel 1929 features 32 individually designed rooms, in 5 room categories, and no two rooms are alike. I stayed at their Terrace Suite, came with a private balcony with an outdoor bathtub set in tropical roof gardens that overlook the bustling streets of charming Chinatown. The ultimate perk of room is the mobile phone “Handy” in each room that can make free long distance calls and unlimited data for you to use through the stay. It truly was very handy indeed!

Overall, Hotel 1929 is a perfect place to stay in Singapore if you want a hotel with some history and personality and you appreciate a few quirks. Hotel staffs were very nice, helpful and really went out of their way to help when we needed it. Location is great within walking distance to the nearest MRT and Bus station.

By the way, I am thrilled to share you guys my exclusive discount code for a special 10% off Best Available Rate at Hotel 1929. Bookings are to be made directly via email by quoting ‘Arnold10’ in the subject header, valid for 6 months from now.
