When we visited Hong Kong last month, we stayed two nights at EAST Hong Kong and seriously fell in love with it. EAST Hong Kong located in a residential neighborhood next to the MTR station Tai Koo & big shopping mall City Plaza. It’s very convenient to everything like foods, bar, MTR and very easy to get taxi any time. You can take A12 bus from Airport to City Plaza, with just only about half the cost by airport express.
As soon as we stepped inside the lobby of EAST, we noticed an interesting display of art works – something you should check out for yourself. The staff are all wearing slouchy pants, long-sleeved shirts and black & white Converse Chuck Taylors, and they sit behind their macs to check guests in. It’s a paperless check-in, which sets the scene when you arrive for a hotel experience which strives to be as ecologically sensitive as possible.

HARBOUR VIEW ROOM

We arrived earlier than check in time but the staff checked us in early which is just what we need after a long connecting flight. I stayed in a Harbour View room. The room features an earthly colour tone to complement the simple yet plush furnishings. I love the floor to ceiling windows where plenty of natural light can enter and the way the automatic roller blinds can be drawn effortlessly.

By each sides of the bed, you will also find a control to control the lights. What I loved most about this feature was the ability to dim and adjust the lights to the right amount I needed it for. If you are traveling for work, the Harbour View room offers an ergonomic desk chair and word desk for you to get things done – but I would personally switch the direction of the chair over to enjoy a seaview which is really therapeutic to watch.

Room also come with a free handy phone for usage. You can bring it out for navigation in the city, make free international calls or use it as a wi-fi router which makes the lives of us – the travellers much easier.

The integrated dining location of EAST Hong Kong, Feast (Food by EAST), feature a chic and yet energetic space. This is where hotel guests will be able to have their breakfast in the morning & socialize. The semi buffet breakfast at Feast was amazing, we’re still drooling over their dessert selection. They also has a fabulous rooftop bar called SUGAR, if you want to kick back a few drinks after work and enjoy some beautiful scenery.

Looking to perfect tan or get in shape? Check out the swimming pool and gymnasium named Beast (Body by EAST). While the gym area is pretty tiny (the mirror does help to create a greater sense of space though), it has most of what you need for a decent workout. Hot and cold water is also provided between the swimming pool and the gym – I thought this was a nice touch.

Overall EAST Hong Kong is an efficient, warm and friendly business Hotel. We had a great time during our stay there and definitely will be back!

Arnold Teja was a guest of EAST Hong Kong, all views and opinions are my own. A big thank you to Selina and team for the hospitality!
